Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the receiving, storing, and preparation of shipping of materials and products. This is a fully hands-on role focused on executing daily warehouse operations. The position ensures that goods are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting shipments, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, operating forklifts, and maintaining inventory records. The role also involves administrative tasks and coordination with logistics to ensure smooth inbound and outbound processes.
Tasks:
Loads and unloads trucks and arranges inventory in designated storage areas.
Operates forklifts & pallet jack and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, including performing routine equipment checks.
Stocks shelves and racks with products in an organized and accessible manner.
Picks and packs orders for shipping, ensuring packaging is secure and labeling is accurate.
Verifies incoming shipments against invoices and orders for accuracy in quantity, type, and condition.
Inspects products for quality standards and verifies labeling, packaging, and product integrity.
Maintains and updates inventory records using warehouse management systems; conducts cycle counts and reconciles discrepancies.
Prepares shipments according to quality and handling standards and coordinates dispatch with logistics.
Records inventory movements and shipment details accurately.
Communicates effectively with team members and logistics personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
Ensures warehouse safety by enforcing protocols, conducting safety checks, and promoting a culture of safe practices.
Job requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (minimum education requirement).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to manage warehouse associates and drivers.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and warehouse management systems.
Familiar with data works systems for input and retrieval.
Knowledge of common carriers and company truck deliveries.
Good physical health; able to lift 75+ lbs frequently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
Good judgment, fast learner, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
Professional interaction with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work effectively in high-volume, fast-paced settings
