Job description

Environmental Products Corporation is currently looking for a Solutions Architect / Power BI Developer for the IT Department. The right candidate will lead the application development architecture design; write, execute, and debug Power BI queries; lead the integration of MS Dynamics 365 with custom SQL databases and perform other technology-related tasks as assigned. The Solutions Architect / Power BI Developer reports directly to VP Technology.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

  • Design and maintain application development architecture framework.

  • Architect, design, develop, test, execute and troubleshoot Power BI.

  • Assist in the support of production systems using APIs.

  • Create design documents and technical documentation as applicable.

  • Clear oral and written communication of issues, status and projects.

  • Translate business requirements into solutions.

  • Ability to work as a team member and independently.

  • Support existing programs and platforms while contributing ideas for creative use of modern technologies where appropriate.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or relevant experience

  • Previous Work experience required:

    • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365

    • Excellent people and communication skills

    • Proficient in planning, problem solving and analysis

    • Driven to provide value to our business and exceed customer expectations

  • Additional knowledge, skills and/or abilities preferred:

    • MS SQL (T-SQL – knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, indexes)

    • SSRS

    • SAP Crystal Reports

    • Ability to deign customer-facing dashboards and applications

    • Understanding of microservices architecture

    • Familiarity with IIS

    • IPSec/VPN, SSL (HTTPS/SFTP over SSL etc.), PKI
