Senior Mechanical Engineer

Summary:

As Senior Mechanical Engineer. You'll spearhead the design and development of advanced systems for our Recycling Machines, driving environmental change.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full mechanical design lifecycle of Reverse Vending Machines, including advanced 3D modeling, controlled drawings, and robust specification release.

• Architect reliable, cost-effective mechanical systems using SolidWorks and other CAD tools, ensuring compliance, performance, and manufacturability.

• Define and govern Engineering BOMs, component specifications, and configuration control across product lines.

• Establish and drive design processes such as DFX, DFMEA, Design Reviews, and DV&V to elevate engineering quality and consistency.

• Lead DFM initiatives and collaborate with Manufacturing to resolve production challenges and optimize assembly efficiency.

• Partner with Supply Chain to validate and qualify locally sourced components, implementing design adjustments where needed.

• Champion engineering process improvements and cross-functional alignment with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D.

• Mentor engineers, introduce new technologies/materials, and embed innovative practices to strengthen long-term product competitiveness.

Profile:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred), or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Minimum 8+ years in mechanical engineering design, proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Strong communication, technical, analytical, and creative skills. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods.

• Fluent in German and English.
