Job description

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR Department in our Naugatuck, CT facility. The Human Resources Generalist will be part of a global team and will be overseeing local HR requirements such as Payroll, Benefits administration, Employee Relations, Recruiting and employee engagement.  The HR Generalist will report directly to the HR Manager, US Operations.  We are looking for a candidate that is looking for a long-term career as a Human Resources Generalist.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain integrity and confidentiality of all business and personnel related information

  • Process Bi-Weekly payroll for 150+ employees across the nation

  • Manage/process local payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now

  • Experience with custom report generation within ADP Workforce Now

  • Responsible for completing new hire, and payroll change paperwork for all employees

  • Manage recruitment for entry level and blue-collar positions

  • Manage onboarding, new-employee orientations and exit interviews

  • Assist HR Manager with annual Benefits Open Enrollment process / administration of all benefits

  • Responsible for all Leave of Absence administration, including workers comp, FMLA, STD and LTD

  • Serves as the on-site workers comp coordinator who is responsible for making sure that the appropriate paperwork for either a workers compensation or accident claim is completed and submitted to insurance company in a timely manner

  • Assist with employee relations & other HR related tasks

  • Support the Human Resources Manager and the leadership team

  • Other duties as needed

Job requirements

Qualifications & Education

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience

  • ADP Workforce Now Experience A MUST

  • Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets using (pivot charts, advanced formulas)

  • Strong administrative and organization skills with attention to detail

  • Possess a high level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Develop trusting relationships with leaders and employees

  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities (day-to-day employee relations and project based)

  • Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels

  • Be self-directed and motivated

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication

  • Knowledge and experience in federal and state employment laws and compliance regulations related to FMLA, benefits, retirement administration, Workers Compensation/OSHA
