Financial Controller (m/f/d)

The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the effective management and control of financial resources within an organization. This role involves analyzing financial data, developing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and providing insightful recommendations to improve cost efficiency and optimize resource allocation. Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Production Analysis – BOM costs, efficiency, deviation to plan.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

• Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights on financial performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for financial reporting needs.

• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting activities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.

• Collaborate with department heads to gather input and assumptions for budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Analyze actual performance against budgeted targets and provide explanations for variances.

• Support the forecasting process by collecting relevant data and updating forecasts as necessary.

Internal Control and Compliance:

• Develop and implement internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions.

• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and ensure adherence within the organization.

• ICO reconciliation.

• Other ad-hoc tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

• 3 years+ proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role in finance, accounting, or controlling functions.

• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (e.g. Local GAAP, IFRS), and financial analysis techniques.

• 3 years+ proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software applications.

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Solid understanding of internal control frameworks and compliance requirements.

• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Fluency in English and Romanian. Additional languages are a plus.

• Nice to have: Experience with Dynamics 365 or any other ERP systems
