Tasks & Responsibilities

Product Requirements and requirements Validation

·        Collaborate in the definition of Product Requirements, based on the field feedback and “Voice of the Customer”

·        Ensure the Product is designed to meet expected functional and non-functional requirements.

·        Review software deliverables from the Software Team to confirm the implementation scope and requirements

Test Design and Execution

·        Create Verification and Validation test plans for the reverse vending machine, as well as for its sub-components that will cover the defined requirements.

·        Analyse operational data of the machines, and based on it define specific tests

·        Implement manual and automated test cases within the existing framework – C/C
++, Phyton

·        Execute the Validation Plans, creating test reports and clearly identifying problems. Collaborate with the responsible teams to solve the found issues.

·        Collaborate with potential external suppliers (e.g. environmental, electrical testing facilities) when needed.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

·        Keep current with emerging technologies, testing methodologies and best practices.         

·        Provide training support to Manufacturing Quality and Field Service Support Teams

·        Participate in continuous improvement projects


 

Job requirements

Qualifications & Education

  • You hold an engineering degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or have equivalent work experience.

  • You have experience writing C/C++ or Python automated test scripts within Linux-based Frameworks.

  • You have experience of writing firmware for embedded microcontrollers (Atmel, , Cortex-M).

  • You have experience with Multi-meter, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators.

  • You have at least 5 years' experience with testing hardware of embedded systems.  

  • You have experience working with serial interfaces, such as UART, I2C, RS485, CAN.

  • Experience creating automated tests for command line functionality in embedded Linux systems is a plus. 

  • Experience creating automated tests for GUIs in embedded Linux systems is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with one or more of: networking / distributed systems, QT, revision control systems, computer vision are a plus.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, comfortable communicating with all levels of management. 

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Very good language skills in English. As a second language German will be appreciated.
