Tasks & Responsibilities
- Design, Develop and enhance electro-mechanical systems.
- Create mechanical design specifications including 3d models for parts, assemblies or complete products using computer-aided design programs as well as Engineering BoMs
- Reinforce, Support and Adhere to Envipco Engineering processes.
- Support Supply Chain in validating locally sourced components and modifying designs accordingly.
- Lead DFM activities and other quality-oriented projects.
- Identify areas of weakness in the production line or finished products and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provide input for process development.
- Coordinates design changes based on manufacturing challenges.
- Provide Engineer design support in collaboration with other teams to help resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Actively maintain knowledge of new technologies, methods, and techniques
- Actively support and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred, mechatronics or electrical engineering considered.
- You have at least 12 years of experience in Engineering Design work, Solidworks 3d and AutoCad 2d
- You have experience working independently but also enjoy working in a team environment.
- You have strong communication skills and are comfortable communicating with all levels of management, external customers, and vendors.
- You have strong technical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- You have experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and or Structured Problem-Solving methods.
- You enjoy travel. This position requires regular visits to Envipco Engineering offices in Germany and the USA.
- You have very good language skills in English. As a second language Romanian or German will be appreciated.
