Senior GL Accountant

About the Role

This role executes the daily accounting operations for Envipco’s Polish legal entity, ensuring accurate and timely IFRS reporting and full adherence to Polish statutory and tax requirements, as well as internal control standards. You will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, prepare and post journal entries, and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations. The role also involves supporting intercompany accounting, accruals, statutory reporting, both internal and external audits and manages compliance filings in close coordination with external advisors.

You will contribute to ongoing process improvements and play an active role in the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365. This position requires close collaboration with colleagues across the international finance organization and other key stakeholders.

Tasks

• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting for Envipco’s Polish entity including daily cash transactions.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings under IFRS.

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations; manage intercompany accounting, process expense reports, and prepare accruals.

• Monitor AP and AR, prepare payment cycles, and process collections.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Support statutory reporting and Polish tax compliance (in collaboration with local advisors, as applicable).

• Support process improvements, including contributing to the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365

• Support internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with the international finance team and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a GL or accounting role

• Expertise in Polish statutory and tax requirements

• Solid understanding of IFRS a strong plus

• Strong Excel and ERP skills (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage)

• Comfortable working in an international, fast-changing environment

• Fluent in English and Polish (written and spoken)
