Summary:

For our Supply Chain team in Romania, we are searching for a Senior Buyer. In this role you will be an integral part of the overall Supply Chain Organization and helps achieving Envipco’ s targets for assigned categories and suppliers regarding cost, delivery, productivity, and quality. Moreover, this position will be key for the efficient and effective sourcing process, drive specific short-term improvements in regard to QLTC, ensure data maintenance and accuracy and help driving cost and lead time performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for execution of sourcing, selection and contracting and ordering processes for dedicated categories.
  • Responsible for placing PO’s, confirmation and follow-up thru its corresponding payment, tracking milestones and problem-solving with suppliers and internal functions, escalation management (for level 2), and accurate supplier contact details.
  • Ensure accuracy of the Master Data in alignment with MRP parameters, incl. MOQ, Min-Max, Price, and LT.
  • Closely cooperate with Material Planners and Supply Chain Team on material risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for material/component availability (excluding finished goods) through MOQ optimization and inventory management, including highlighting opportunities for replenishment to Category Management team in agreement with Planners (e. g. consignment, VMI, reorder points, frame-orders) and tactical execution of scheduling agreements, as well as execution of materials certification and corresponding data.
  • Obtain the Demand/S&OP Forecast from planners, provide it to the suppliers and identify gaps.
  • Track supplier shut-downs, holiday and vacation closings, and communicate these to planning department.
  • Help driving all relevant Procurement KPIs with a high focus on delivery, quality and costs.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to drive KPI performance.
  • Support plant team for Operations Certifications and Audits – with special focus on Procurement requirements.
  • Support Category Management regarding the following tasks: Supplier quality level, category business plan strategies, material productivity targets, lead time and price accuracy, all legal requirements and compliance, in- and outsourcing activities, supplier’s quarterly business reviews, ad hoc queries, high impact projects, reduction of suppliers, establishing supplier agreements, and definition of grow, fix & exit suppliers.


Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimal 5 years of experience in procurement of direct materials
  • Problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, and communication skills
  • Category management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
  • Fluent in English (company standard language), Romanian very much preferred.
