About the Role

As a Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities for Envipco Hellas, covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting tasks. This is a hands-on operational role focused on accurate bookkeeping and timely financial processing in accordance with IFRS and Greek GAAP. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and the wider international finance team, supporting month-end closings and ensuring reliable financial records. You will also contribute to ongoing process improvements and play an active role in the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

 

Tasks

  • Perform daily bookkeeping activities for AP and AR, including invoice posting, payment processing, and clearing

  • Carry out bank and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries in accordance with IFRS and Greek GAAP

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Prepare and post routine journal entries (accruals, prepayments, corrections)

  • Support intercompany postings and reconciliations

  • Assist with VAT postings, INTRASTAT & IntraEurope reporting preparation in coordination with external advisors

  • Support audit activities and provide requested documentation

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting guidelines, and local statutory requirements

Job requirements

  • Completed vocational training or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar

  • 4–6 years of practical accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or mid-sized company

  • Solid hands-on experience in AP, AR, and general bookkeeping

  • Good understanding of Greek GAAP; basic knowledge of IFRS is an advantage

  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar is a plus)

  • Confident Excel user

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an international team

  • Adequate business-level English
