Summary: For our Global Supply Chain team, we are searching for a Global Procurement Category Manager for the purchasing categories Non-product Related “NPR” (Facilities, Energy & Utilities, IT, Office supplies, Leasing cars, Marketing, etc.). In this role you will be responsible for the development, implementation, management, and performance of sourcing and supplier selection strategies, contracting and contract management, to meet business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate, and execute a global category strategy, aligned with annual and long-term business objectives.

  • Lead supplier assessment, selection, contracting, and development across regions and categories, ensuring optimal cost, performance, and risk management.

  • Drive cost savings, working capital improvements, and category performance (e.g. payment terms, inventory, lead times, VMI).

  • Monitor market trends, technologies, and supply chain capabilities to anticipate risks and opportunities.

  • Accountable for NPR category performance (e.g. Facilities, Energy & Utilities, IT, Office Supplies, Fleet, Marketing), including strategy, results, and functional leadership of local buyers.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with business needs and priorities.

  • Ensure supplier performance management, reporting, and compliance with global and regional requirements.

  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate supply chain risks, maintaining transparency with senior management.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field required; MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain preferred.

  • Proven experience in NPR category procurement (e.g. Facilities, Energy & Utilities, IT, Office Supplies, Fleet/Leasing, Marketing).

  • Strong category management expertise, with excellent negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers across functions and regions.

  • Solid analytical and market research capabilities to drive fact-based sourcing decisions.

  • Clear ownership and accountability mindset, with a proactive, customer-oriented approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or German is a plus. EU driving license required; willingness to travel globally.
