For this stand-alone role, we are lseeking a highly skilled, indipendent, hands-on and motivated Financial Controller to join our team at Envipco Hellas SA. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the total accounting and controlling functions of the company with the guidance of the local Managing Director and the European Finance Manager. Your primary focus will be on ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements, analyzing variances, cashflow, and providing information to our headquarters in the Netherlands.


Responsibilities:

  • Full accountable for daily accounting and controlling activities of Envipco Greece
  • Reconcile and document balance sheet accounts, profit and loss accounts on a monthly base
  • Prepare monthly closing activities and management reports with strong emphasis on accuracy and timelines
  • Variance analysis of the monthly commercial & production results between actual vs budget vs prior year
  • Coordinate, prepare and monitor budget & forecast process
  • Cost price calculations and allocations
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions with other Envipco subsidiaries on a monthly base
  • Inventory management
  • Cashflow management on a daily, weekly, monthly base to support financial planning
  • Coordinate and supervise interim and year end audit process
  • Propose improvements in the finance function to bring it to the next level
  • Implement corporate internal procedures & guidelines
  • Close collaboration with Envipco headquarters in the Netherlands with assisting the finance team with timely monthly management reports and other financial reporting
  • Sparring partner for local management to improve company’s performance
  • Represent the company together with the Managing Director in relations with the local authorities and internal and external stakeholders.

Job requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance or equivalent. Master degree is a plus.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a production environment
  • Operating skills in MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems.
  • Fluent in Greek and English.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proactive mindset, taking initiative to identify and address potential issues
  • Strong personality
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated commercial and business awareness
