About the Role

The UK Finance Controller is responsible for the financial integrity, compliance, and financial excellence of the Envipco’s UK entity. This role ensures the quality and accuracy of group IFRS reporting, oversees local compliance filings, and manages day-to-day finance operations with support from the shared service center. The Controller acts as a strategic and critical business partner to the Country MD and local team, driving process optimization, commercial support, and providing actionable financial insights. The role demands strong technical finance skills, leadership, ability to work across international teams, drive improvements, and alignment with Envipco’s mission and values.

Tasks

1.  Group Reporting & Compliance

  • Own the quality and accuracy of group IFRS reporting for the UK entity adhering to deadlines and group policies.

  • Driven and support Monthly Business reviews in close coordination with the Country Director.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP).

  • Ensure timely and compliant local statutory filings and tax submissions.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required; lead audit and tax activities for the UK entity.

 

2.  Finance Operations

  • Keep oversight over the day-to-day finance tasks, including management accounting, monthly closing, and dashboard reporting, with operational support from the shared service centre.

  • Drive cost control and expense management to maximize efficiency.

  • Manage working capital optimization, including receivables, collections, vendor invoices and payments.

  • Create appropriate reports to enable the business to function and improve (e.g., budget, P&L forecast).

 

3.  Business Partnering

  • Act as a financial partner to the local team and country director, providing insights to support commercial decisions and business performance.

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, supply chain, and headquarters to optimize processes and drive operational improvements, including inventory management.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual budget preparation, periodic updates, variance analysis, and corrective actions.

Job requirements

Profile

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (or equivalent); Master’s or professional qualification preferred.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably at an international production company and/or service organization.

  • Strong commercial and business awareness; analytical and quantitative mindset.

  • Structured, organized, and outcome-oriented; sense of urgency and ownership.

  • Leadership qualities: ability to influence, coach, and develop others.

  • High integrity, strong ethical standards, and alignment with company values.

  • Able to create and build structure; flexible, adaptable, and able to manage through chaos.

  • Service-oriented mindset, team player, and relationship builder.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

  • Solid knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK tax regulations.
