Position Summary:

We are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager, Europe to lead and optimize commercial operations across our European headquarters and country organizations. In this role, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence—aligning sales, marketing, finance, and other teams to deliver growth, efficiency, and compliance.

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, Europe & Asia (based in Amersfoort), you will oversee commercial operations in 10+ countries, with more markets joining as we expand. This is a high-impact position for a hands-on leader with a global mindset. Some travel within Europe will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Performance Excellence – Define, monitor, and analyse KPIs per country to ensure commercial success and support data-driven decisions.

  • Lead Operations – Oversee day-to-day commercial processes including sales execution, contract management, pricing conditions, and customer service standards.

  • Enable Collaboration – Act as the bridge between sales, marketing, finance, and operations to align priorities and deliver on business objectives.

  • Optimize Processes – Design and implement new tools, systems, and processes to boost efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage Budgets – Lead the monthly forecasting and annual budget process, ensuring financial discipline and target achievement.

  • Safeguard Compliance – Proactively identify risks and ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and legal requirements.

Job requirements

  • University degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA) is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ international experience in commercial operations, with a proven track record of driving growth and efficiency across multiple markets. Experience in hardware production and/or service contracts is highly valued.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams across diverse geographies, fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Deep understanding of sales practices, market dynamics, and strategies for long-term business growth.

  • Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business improvements.

  • Expertise in managing cross-functional projects, streamlining processes, and delivering measurable results.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and presentation skills to align teams and drive performance.

  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills (including Dynamics) and strong command of business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

  • Fluent English is required; additional languages such as Spanish or Dutch are an advantage.
